Grandparents Day...

Just before Easter, Hubby and I went down to the school that our eldest daughter's children go, to for Grandparents Day.
The school is a 2 hour drive from our place.

This is our Grand children.......

Abbey , on the right is Class and School Captain .....and Luca, in the centre is Prefect.......they are both in year 6 and go the High School next year.......Blake, with the hat, will be in primary for a while yet, he is in year 5.....

The children conducted a special Assembly for all us Grands......... there were achievment awards handed out and the choir sang  some song for us....it was lovely....

...our Blake, on the left.... received an award....... we were very proud of him.....

We went to their class rooms and helped make Easter Hats for the Parade..........that was fun......

Here are our Grands in their hats.......

...........  A   FUN     DAY    for us and the children at the school.......BUT....... my daughter cleans the school every day and was NOT happy with the mess.........luckily ......
it was mostly paper and she was able to vacc it up.......hehehe.....she really didn't mind.....

  2. Hi Barb! Loved finally catching up with you and yours! Your school treat Easter celebrations looked wonderful - though your grands look far too young by American standards - to be going into high school. Love the leadership positions given to students there - prefect and such. Looking like nice wholesome kiddoes. Hoping your mum is doing better - it is so difficult to not be able to make your loved one's comfortable or feel better. I was thinking about you and Trish down under as our season is finally changing to spring here and our flowers peeking out - while you will be moving into fall. So nifty, that. Be ye blessed!
    Joy!

  3. Hi Kathy........Thanks for your lovely visit. Mum is OK now...the doctor has said she is clear of the cellulitis. I can hardly believe my youngest grands are heading for high school, too.
Our Autumn is beautiful.. this is my favourite season....I'm glad Spring has finally made an appearance for you...

Looks like it was a good day for everyone.
Those kids are growing so fast - can't believe highschool is 'just around the corner' for them!
I think the Christmas Grinch must've stolen the last ten years..they disappeared somewhere, that's for sure :-(
