Warning.....this post contains photos of spiders...among other things..

We have had a lot of wind and rain over the last three days........when there was a decent break in the rain I went out and took photos of the garden.....

......this succulent is looking fine ... I like the pink starry flowers........

................. raindrops on the leaves of the May bush........................

......................................the Seneco vine is  is doing well.............

........ grey skies through the branches of the tree out the front of our house.......

...WARNING...... the next three photos are of Spiders.......feel free to skip  them....OK..

....I know not every body likes spiders.......including me!!!! BUT ...I do like taking photos of them in the garden............
.The top one is a Net Casting spider... he has a net, like a fishing net, in his front legs..the lower ones..he is upside down........he flicks this open to catch small insects.........
The next one is a Leaf Curling spider.........I  have never seen one put a 'roof' on his leaf before.....
The last one is an ordinary small garden spider........two of these live near my clothes line.....
If they get too close to the clothes line or come into the house ....they are DEAD........

OK.....Change of Subject

The weekend of the16th  & 17th  two of my daughters and my 18 yr old Grand daughter were visiting  and I took this opportunity to go through  my make up and nail polishes  and let them take what they wanted.   They were thrilled and I cleared out a drawer.... Win-Win all round....

I also re-sorted and paired all my Knitting needles and was suprised to find I had over 70 pairs....I think maybe I should pass some of these on....hehehehehe...

.......I put the paired needles through pieces of foam rubber to keep them together...........
.... The   l.a.r.g.e   needles were made for me  by my darling Hubby  so I could  knit a wall hanging......
...this hanging is packed away  in our roof space..... when I'm able to get it down, I'll  post about it..

Bye for now.....Have a good day, all
God Bless

  1. Those net casting spiders are amazing have you watched them catching and eating their food.
We have leaf curlers too I will have to have a look to see if mine have roofs too, maybe too much rain.
You have 70 pairs of needles, you could open a shop.
    Love Merle....

  3. 70??! Wow, Barb..that's quite a collection.
    Love the garden pics.
Raindrops on the bushes is so pretty!
The spiders are interesting - at a distance.
I found a trapdoor inside the hole of a brick in our vegie path last week.
It was right where we stand to pick the tomatoes!!!
It's nice that you have the girls to pass your things on to. A clear drawspace is very satisfying :-)
    love and hugs..Trish xoxox

    1. The trapdoor was lucky, I let it live for a whole 2 minutes until I got the shovel and squashed it!!!
      Don't worry..I'll be "stopping by" again..hehe

  9. Ooh doesn't it feel good to have a good sort out. That sure is a lot of knitting needles.
I love rain on things in photo's, it makes me feel a bit cooler. We are still sweltering in this terrible heat wave and I have had a raging sore throat that refuses to go away. I'm seeing a ENT specialist on the 26th just to be sure, to be sure. Thought that sounded Irish with St Pats day looming :)Enjoy your beautiful rain Barb and thank you for your nice visit and comment. xx
