On the 18th of Feb, my husband took Mum and I to my cousin's house to celebrate Mum's sister (my Godmother) turning 100 years old. We all had a wonderful time.It was great to see my Aunt enjoying herself.
Aunty Edna (100yo) in the green blouse, and my mum Mavis (94yo) with their crowns on....... don't they look wonderful???

Paris - Where to stay?????

Having FUN fantasising about just where in Paris,Merle and I might stay.
Maybe a studio apartment with expansive views of the city......
Or a  suite in a luxury hotel in the heart of the city .......
Or a spacious room in a 5 star hotel.......
Or a small room in a 3 star......
Or a room in a hostel.......
Hold on !!!!!   Scratch the hostel !!!!! We're too old  !!!!!!
Got to be 35 or younger, that lets us out.

I think we'll probably choose a mid-price- range hotel ,hopefully with a little courtyard where we can have coffee, and a nice room with en-suite bathroom, and lovely view...

PARIS ---- in Autumn ----- here we come !!!!!!!   :-)      :-)

Hello everyone,I hope you all had a good week.
My Simple Pleasure this week is ----playing Yahtzee with my Mum.
It has taken 2 years for Mum to agree to play. She didn't want to stop me doing my own thing -- which is very sweet of her.
Now we both do our thing AND play Yathzee, which is her favourite game, together.
I wanted to share how happy this makes me.
God Bless

Hello World, Just a note to say "Merle and I have  booked our tickets to France "
We're both very excited and looking foreward to stopovers in Seoul
All we have to do now is decide on the least amount of clothes to take.
I have told my family I won't be buying souveniers----and I won't be taking requests to buy things for anyone...
Sounds a bit mean ,I know, but these things can get out of hand.  AND I'm arthritic and I'll be 69 when we go ---too old to carry much. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it )

I have had to control myself from looking up and printing out copious pages of information on France and South Korea.
The Internet can be addictive.

Bye for now

Without teeth
Hello,Hello,Hello Everybody

I am a happy lady today
I have new teeth and I think they are beautiful !!!!!

Just before Christmas I had to have 5 front bottom teeth removed due to a gum problem.
Needless to say I was a little (o.k. -- a lot) embarrassed to go anywhere and talk to people.
After a couple of weeks I relaxed and went to Bingo, shopping, visiting etc. without any stress.
Now - 7 weeks later - I have teeth again.

I don't think I'll ever take teeth for granted again.

My Simple Pleasure this week is being able to eat a slice of toast without cutting it into little pieces first.
The first bite after nearly two months was exciting ---toast never tasted so good............

My O.C.D. kicked in

Hello people,
My wardrobe looks neat and tidy.
All t-tops and cammis  that are not partnered up with blouses or 3 piece outfits are hung and colour coded.
All blouses are hung.
All trousers and jeans are flat in the drawer.
All jumpers and cardigans folded on shelves.

The bad news...........
1  I had 30 pairs of trousers ---now I have 15
2  All told I had 162 t-tops and cammis (It embarrasses me to admit that) and after matching them into outfits  and hanging them up  ------I still have 99 of them in my wardrobe. It does't look like that many, but it is.  I'm still in shock .............

I didn't stick to a colour scheme because everything I now have goes with my trouser colours of blue, black brown or grey, and 1pair of red .

I TRIED to be more severe with myself,  but thats as far as I got bfore the O.C.D. kicked in and it became too stressful to let things go.....
I think I did a good days work ...

Bye for now
God Bless

I think I have finally accepted that nothing I own is too dressy
If I walk out of my front door  ---  I deserve to be dressed up NOT down
I already have the clothes in my wardrobe to do this

See you
Hello World--
Over the coming week I plan to drastically overhaul my wardrobe........
I have too many clothes that I don't wear (some of them are years old ,never worn, still with tickets on)
Something has to change !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have some basic ideas of how to go about this overhaul.

One colour, or tones of one colour, tops and trouser sets       ( I dont't wear dresses) ((maybe this should change))???????????

Key jacket tops/blouses  that can be worn with more than one outfit

Warm cardigan tops that will take any outfit from summer to winter.

WEAR   WEAR    WEAR the clothes I have
DON'T  DON'T DON'T just look at them

Bold accessories

Neutral coloured  heeled shoes

Thats the plan
I'll let you know if it works,o.k.

Hello everyone,
My simple pleasure this week is knowing that my grand-daughter Monique, who lives in Townsville, Queensland, came through Cyclone Yasi without injury. The building she lives in is undamaged.
This cyclone has caused horrendus damage to buildings and crops in far north Queensland   BUT    there has been no loss of life and no-one was injured. THANK THE LORD.
My heart and prayers go  out to the people affected  by this disaster.
Sorry this post is not a happy happy one but I'm sure you will all understand.
